As a Registered Clinical Counsellor I use an integrative, holistic, and evidence-based approach to therapy.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, complex trauma, grief and loss self-esteem issues, addictions, life transitions, as well as dysfunctional relationship and family dynamics. I work with individuals and couples.
My approach is informed by modalities such as CBT, DBT, Internal Family System, trauma informed sensorimotor
psychotherapy, mindful awareness, and narrative therapy.
I believe individuals are the experts of their own experience so I work from a client-centred perspective where I pull from different therapy modalities based on what would work best for them.
My process includes identifying the presenting issue, understanding the areas of impact, exploring the history behind the issue, and then considering what success in this area would look like and finding ways to move in that direction. I believe in the importance of providing a safe, comfortable, and secure space for individuals to give voice and attention to the emotions that they may not feel comfortable sharing with others in their life.
